Our letter to the President

Dear President Obama,

Please take action to end America’s affordable housing and homelessness crisis. We need:
  • More section 8 vouchers immediately
  • Build public housing to meet the need
  • Full funding of the National Housing Trust Fund
  • Stop foreclosures

I was evicted from my apartment housing unit after my father died of cancer. I was his caregiver along with my sister, who has two children. We are low-income and the Housing Authority would not help us. We were not considered for an emergency housing voucher, to help us with our housing needs. Thank you, Mr. President.
