Our letter to the President

Dear President Obama,

Please take action to end America’s affordable housing and homelessness crisis. We need:
  • More section 8 vouchers immediately
  • Build public housing to meet the need
  • Full funding of the National Housing Trust Fund

Que bajen los intereses de cobros altos en casa y que los bancos no sean tan crueles, porque hoy familias que los han perdido porque los bancos no estan ayudando como deberian.

Dear Mr. President,

I am worried sick about the plight of the homeless here in sunny, lovely Santa Clara County, California. True, our weather is great, but to be homeless is to be running, always running. Running from, running to, trying to make ends meet, trying to catch a bus, to get to a doctor, to get a letter, to pick up your medications, your next meal, or a dry blanket. San Jose is a very big place when you are on foot and you have no wheels.

Can you help? We all need a place to call home. Thanks.

Le pido, Senor Presidente, que nos baje la renta, respete los derechos medicos, y no nos discrimine. Gracias.

Mr. President,

I am a veteran and I served my country well. The past administration, and apparently yours as well, has somehow forgotten the sacrifices we have made. The resources of the VA are being spread thin. Please take care of those who fought for the "freedoms" that made it possible for you to be elected.

Signed,

A Homeless Veteran
