Our letter to the President

Dear President Obama,

Please take action to end America’s affordable housing and homelessness crisis. We need:
  • More section 8 vouchers immediately
  • Build public housing to meet the need
  • Full funding of the National Housing Trust Fund
  • Stop foreclosures

President Obama,

The need is so great in Santa Clara Valley. Please continue to help those who are less fortunate - through no fault of their own.

Connie Sands, San Jose

Dear Mr. President,

It is urgent that we help our fellow citizens with basic housing. As father of two little girls, I am sure you would find it intolerable to see them living on the streets or in the horror of a shelter. Please provide the funding so that families can be housed in a safe environment. Thank you.

Keep up the good work.

The housing situation needs to improve. We need faster service to needy people with children, no matter what their past history is, when they are trying to change their lives. I am happy to have you as president, and I hope you get this state together for the better. I love you.

Cristal Unique Denrow, San Jose

Hi. I'm glad that you got elected because you will make our state better and help kids get beds, food, and clothing. So I'm glad you are President of America.

Deborah Hardcastle, San Jose
