Dear President Obama,
I am a family man with a wife and two children. We live in a two-bedroom apartment. The rent keeps rising on us and it is getting hard to afford it. We are a low-income family. My wife is the only one working and only makes less than $11 an hour, while I am unemployed and actively seeking work.
We have been on the section 8 waiting list for 2 1/2 years now but we are still way down on the list. It gets scary sometimes because we fear not being able to to make our $1107 monthly rent and ending up homeless and living shelter to shelter.
Anything you can do to help our communities would be greatly appreciated by all of us! We are blessed to have a President who cares so much about our nation. Hopefully you will be able to help with the needs for housing and rent control. Thank you, and may God bless you and your family very much.
