Housing is a human right
While today’s economic crisis is devastating to America’s poor and working people, it is also an opportunity. Now is the time to fight for systemic solutions that meet our most urgent needs and reflect our most fundamental values. CHAM Deliverance Ministry and the Affordable Housing Network, in San Jose, California, have launched a “Letters to Obama” campaign to urge the President to take bold action to solve America’s historic housing problem.
We are asking our friends and neighbors to sign a copy of the letter above, add personal comments and, if possible, a photograph. President Obama has repeatedly said that we the people, not politicians, will lead the movement for change in America. Real economic recovery begins with providing for the least of our brothers and sisters.
