Our letter to the President

Dear President Obama,

Please take action to end America’s affordable housing and homelessness crisis. We need:
  • More section 8 vouchers immediately
  • Build public housing to meet the need
  • Full funding of the National Housing Trust Fund
  • Stop foreclosures

While living with my father for many years he was diagnosed with cancer. After his passing, my brother and I, and my two minor daughters, were kicked out to the streets. Section 8 was not willing to help with any kind of low-income housing. My total income is $704.00 monthly from SSI, and it is impossible to live in Santa Clara County. Thank you for taking the time, Mr. President.
